Put your mind at ease – Get Baby Breathing Monitors
Getting a baby breathing monitor is a great way to put your mind at ease when a new infant comes into the family. If you are a worried parent, consider buying a baby breathing monitor. A breathing monitor (also called a baby movement monitor) are sensors that will record micro-movement coming from the baby, including movement created by the baby’s breathing.
Here are some of the Top Choices for Baby Breathing Monitors -
Upon the new arrival you can not help but be worried constantly about the infants state of health. When nighttime comes around, you are even more anxious preventing you from getting the necessary rest and sleep that you need.
When it comes to infant breathing monitors two of the many trusted and reliable products are the Anglecare Breathing Monitor and the Snuza Breathing Monitor:
Anglecare breathing monitor – This monitor can also double as a baby movement monitor. It combines overseeing the sounds and movements the baby makes. It features a sensor pad that could be placed under the mattress to monitor the baby’s movements while breathing or otherwise. Alarm sounds will prompt you when after 20 seconds there is no movement detected. There is also a sensitivity adjustment control so you could adjust the sensitivity of the device to minimize false alarms. The device also functions on 8 different channels so that you can select the one with the least amount of interference.
Snuza breathing monitor – One of the advantages of this product is that it offers mobile technology. For the busy moms or dads that work all around the house this product comes with a clip-on receiver. The receiver is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand and allows you to carry it anywhere you go around the house. Rather than being tied down as with stationary receivers you can do your daily house chores and keep your baby in check. If for 15 seconds the device does not sense breathing activity, this device has a special stimulus to stir your baby out of inactivity. If after 5 more seconds have passed after the stimulus and breathing is not detected, an alarm sound would be sent.
It is almost impossible and impractical to monitor our babies 24/7. We would love to spend as much time as we can with our babies but many other responsibilities pull us away from that. Some of us have full or part-time jobs. If not then there is always other things such as errands, babies sibling, house chores, and other personal tasks. Sometimes even if it is just a few moments of alone time to regroup and clear our heads. Also baby sound and/or movement monitor would be a lot helpful especially whenever you are alone in the house with your baby. You would be better aware of any sound or movement he or she makes.
On the other hand, complete reliance on this device would also pose disadvantages. Some baby breathing monitors with faulty wiring may fail reading some breathing and/or movement gaps. False alarms may then be sent causing you to panic. Repeated false alarms may occur and cause you to disregard the real emergency. You should also be aware that this device is not the solution to the dangers of SIDS. These only aid in ‘watching’ out for your baby and lessening the chances of a unfortunate event. It must be used with proper understanding so you would not be lulled into a false sense of security.
A very alarming tragedy that happens all over the world and can happen to any baby is the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. It is commonly called SIDS, cot death, or crib death. This unexplained death of infants aged less than a year old is a devastating event that plagues even the most experienced parents. This sometimes occurs when the babies are sleeping faced down in their cribs. The heat and lack of proper air circulation inhibits their breathing and inadvertently they smother themselves. Some ways to minimize such risk are that you should only have the ‘tummy time’ when your baby is awake. You should also ensure that his or her room has a balanced temperature. And a simple device could be of help to you.
Now that you have been made conscious of the possible effects of using these devices, you could be more guided in selecting the right infant breathing monitor. High quality performance should be your main concern for newborn breathing monitors.
Baby breathing monitor are manufactured in several types and sizes. When you get one for your baby, be sure that you take note of the said cautions in usage so you could have a better experience with this helpful device.

This simple device is a wonderful addition to the newborn’s nursery. The peace of mind that a breathing monitor can bring is worth the small expense. Thanks for providing this great information.
My sister uses one of these and she sleeps much easier at night now.
i’m frequently surfing all across the online world nearly all of the time which means that I have a propensity to browse significantly, which unfortunately isn’t usually a beneficial factor as a great number of the blogs I see are made up of worthless trash copied from other websites a thousand times, but I have to compliment you because this webpage is in reality enjoyable and seems to have some authentic information, for that reason thank you for smashing the phenomena of simply just replicating other folks’ blogs and forums, in case you ever wanna have fun with a couple of hands of myspace poker with me just send me a message – you have my e mail
Very useful information, especially for all of you new parents out there who worry constantly about your newborn’s safety. Great idea to monitor breathing and movement, thanks for the site.

baby Breathing monitors are indeed a nice gadget, as well as baby monitors. One thing I noticed in this article though. It says that it pasts 15 seconds until the device sends a stimulus to the baby, in case no breathing is recorded, and then another 5 seconds pass until the alarm sounds. I don’t know about this, but 20 seconds of inactivity from your baby…isn’t it a little too long?
These are great monitors. We got one as a gift and it works great. Baby breathing monitors are a must if you ask me. Thanks for post!
Honestly, I’ve never used one for my child when he was still a baby. But SIDS is very alarming and I will definitely consider buying one if I do have a baby again. I’m a busy mom, too and while it cannot 100% prevent SIDS, at least I will be alerted if anything not good is happening. The baby of a friend fell off their bed because she got busy and forgot that she left her baby sleeping on their bed. She place pillows all around him, but of course, those pillows can only offer so much protection. Fortunately, the baby was ok. But I wouldn’t want anything like that to happen to me.
I would definitely have got one of these if they had been around when my kids were babies. I used to spend ages bent over the cot making sure they were breathing. Stupid I know, but you get paranoid if they don’t move for a while.
These are really good devices esp for babies who were born in rather complicated childbirth and have just come out of NICUs. I never knew about breathing monitors for babies. I remember having cry alarms for my younger siblings in the house when they were born. They used to alert my parents whenever my baby sibling woke up and began crying in her cot.
It can be very important to have one of these monitors if your baby experiences apnea, which refers to the suspension of breathing. Prolonged apnea leads to severe lack of oxygen in the blood circulation. Permanent brain damage can occur after as little as three minutes, and obviously we don’t even want to consider what happens after that. A breathing monitor can truely be a life-saving device. Thanks for the website.
One of the greatest benefits of breathing monitor is peace of mind. We hear about SIDS a lot we have our fisrt baby and that definetely can get us nervous.
I don’t think it is overkill. It’s just one more gadget to help parents.
My parents didn’t have a baby monitor and did just fine. But I couldn’t avoid using it until my son was one year old.
Well, it is a nice idea to get hold breathing monitors for infants. So thanks for your post on suggesting some branded names for the nursery health care. I am happy that parents could be able to monitor the breathing of their infants with ease after purchasing these monitors. And the spontaneous alarm reminder of these monitors when being idle needs to be highly appreciated. Thanks to the recent technological innovation. Great stuff!
I don’t have any kids myself, but I have babysat my nephews overnight a few times. I’m sure it’s because I don’t have as much experience with babies, but I get extremely paranoid and check their crib often. I’m sure a baby breathing monitor would help ease that paranoia at least a little.
After spending weeks of not even sleeping when my baby was sleeping due to the constant fear of SIDS, I decided to look into whether or not there was anything on the market to help eliviate my stress. Thats’ when I found out about Angel Monitors. Now I don’t keep waking my baby up by checking that she is breathing every 20 minutes. Great peace of mind product.
